Treatment Activities
We Level Up Addiction Treatment

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), 7.9 million adults suffered from co-occurring disorders in 2014. [1] We now know that for many clients their development of addiction may have come about as a response to secondary mental health issues left untreated.  For this reason, the treatment community recognizes that long-term recovery does not come in a one-size-fits-all program.

First, each client, upon arrival at our drug treatment center, undergoes an extensive and comprehensive physical and psychological exam. These exams are conducted by our team of physicians, counselors, and mental health specialists. Together your clinical team will determine the whole of your underlying issues for proper treatment. After that, a customized individualized treatment plan is devised. And where appropriate, integrated dual-diagnosis co-occurring treatment for secondary related mental health disorders is incorporated.

Our comprehensive and personalized dual diagnosis program includes treatment activities for mental disorders such as:

We Level Up NJ Client Treatment Activities

Inpatient Residential Admission

We Level Up NJ treatment center is well staffed with full-time primary therapists, including family therapist and or family support specialists, case managers, clinical director, and behavioral techs. Each client is assigned their primary therapist generally within 24 hours of admission.

Clients in inpatient detox level of care focus on medical stability. They meet with medical staff daily along with nursing staff several times throughout the day. Client med pass occurs multiple times per day. Patients are evaluated by nursing staff, receive detox progress evaluation. And have their vitals taken along with the provision of prescribed medications. Once clients are medically stable, they may progress to a residential level of care. At this level of care, clients now see medical staff twice per week (unless required more often) and they are required to attend both one-on-one and group therapy sessions.

Client Therapists

Client therapists are matched to each client based on their areas of expertise, training, and treatment modality. Clients are eligible for weekly individual therapy plus family session(s). Your family therapist may accommodate more sessions throughout the week if you agree and request additional family involvement. The clinical group schedule runs daily from about 9 am to 3 pm and consists of groups that are gender-specific. Therapy groups may include and are not limited to medical education, psychodrama and experiential therapy, integration groups, family education, and caseload groups.

Clients meet in group settings twice per week with their primary therapist. And additionally, in a caseload group where they can focus on more intimate and deeper topics. Our case managers generally meet with clients within the first 24-48 hours and as needed thereafter. They specialize in handling employment, legal and financial issues such as paying bills. Generally, holistic services may be offered during the week from 3 pm to 4 pm and may include meditation, yoga, breathwork, and reiki.

We offer music therapy with as many as 4 hours of group sessions weekly. Art activities may start from the 3 pm to 4 pm time frame. Along with ancillary activities like learning addiction and living coping skills and training clients to apply art to ground themselves, calm down and avoid triggers.

Recovery coaches break down groups into beginners, advanced and gender-specific sessions. The recovery coaches also spend one on one sessions with clients to review recovery step work while with us.
